Duvall Church Frequently Asked Questions
Here's a list of some questions you may have about what to expect on a typical Sunday morning:

What do you believe?
We are an Evangelical Methodist Church that loves Jesus and firmly believes that He is the answer to the world's brokenness.  In a nutshell, we are all about introducing people to the good news of Jesus and helping them discover how He can make a tangible difference in their real lives.  For a full description of what we believe to be truth, click here

What is your "vibe?"
When you walk in the door on a Sunday morning you can expect to be met by a smiling face and welcomed into a friendly environment.  Once the service starts, you can count on some high energy music by one of our worship teams and dynamic teaching that is biblically grounded and 21st-century relevant.  Each Sunday you will be given the opportunity to take Communion and spend time focusing on God through singing, prayer, and reflection.  You'll also find that while we take the good news of Jesus very seriously, we like to laugh a lot, too...you can always expect to find some humor in our services!

What about my kids?
Great question! For kids up through 5th grade, click here for more information about our Sunday morning kid's programs. Nursery care is also provided during both services. Jr. High School youth meet in the youth room (Pastor Scott's office) during the 9:00 service for worship and small-group teaching, and are then encouraged to participate in family worship at the 10:45 service.

Will I be pressured to give money?
Not at all. We do believe in the biblical expectation that followers of Christ give faithfully and generously to God's work through the local church. However, you are our guest and we are simply glad that you have chosen to worship with us!

What should I wear?
Come as you are.

This is Seattle. Where can I get my caffeine?
At the Supreme Bean Espresso, our very own espresso bar in the Family Life Center kitchen. We offer standard espresso drinks for a suggested donation, as well as complimentary coffee and tea. If you are visiting us for the first time, let us know and your espresso drink is on us - it's our gift to you!
