SCRIP

The Duvall Christian School has had tremendous success in rising funds through the use of scrip and I was hoping to have Crossfire take advantage of this program as well.

“Scrip” is the fundraising program that works while you shop.  Scrip is simply a word that means “substitute money”, in other words, scrip is gift certificates from national and local retailers.  They’re the same gift certificates that you buy at the store.  Many popular retailers participate in our scrip program including Safeway, The Gap, Old Navy, Starbucks, QFC, Fred Meyer, Home Depot, Red Robin, Claim Jumper, Ixtapa, Rocking E Feed, and many others.

You’re probably asking yourself how these stores help us raise money and help you pay for tuition.  It’s simple, scrip participating retailers agree to sell gift certificates to our organization at a discount.  Families like yours buy the certificates for full face value, redeem them for full face value and the Duvall Church Youth Ministry keeps the difference as revenue.  We then can use this money for such things as event scholarships or equipment.

Scrip is exciting because everybody wins.  Last year approximately 40 families at the Duvall Christian School participated and over $6000-8000 was raised!

Another part of this program is E-Scrip.  This program tracks purchases made on registered credit cards or Safeway Club Cards.  Every time you use your credit card at select vendors or swipe your Safeway Club Card, a percentage of your purchases will come back to support the Family Life Center which is the new building of the Duvall Church. You can register for E-Scrip online at www.escrip.com [DUVALL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL] [500001672]   (All personal information will be shredded after registration.)  This is a program that can be used by you, as well as any family members or friends, to earn money for our school without any fundraising efforts!

You will find the registration forms for both the Scrip and E-Scrip programs below, as well as a scrip order form so that you can see the selection of vendors that you can choose from.  We would like to encourage you to participate in this great program.  Scrip is available for purchase in the Duvall Christian school office from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm on school days and in The Duvall Church office during summer vacation.  It is also available in between services on Sundays. We accept cash (exact amount) or checks made payable to DCS Scrip.  Orders received by 12:00 on Monday are typically available for pickup on Friday of the same week.  We try to stock the most popular vendors so stop by and see what we have!
